Today’s timely Quote Of The Day in advance of the upcoming Democratic Debate in Iowa comes from Robert Byrne; an American author of seven novels (Thrill), seven books on billiards (Byrne’s Standard Book of Pool and Billiards) and five collections of humorous quotations (The 2,548 Best Things Anybody Ever Said), which means he knows a thing or two about famous quotes.
Byrne is also an accomplished billiards and pool champion and instructor. At the age of 12 he hustled the gas meter reader out of 85 cents on the family’s home pool table. Makes me want to up my own game for when PG&E comes around to our place again.
