Quote Of The Day – Haruki Murakami

Today’s Quote Of The Day comes from Haruki Murakami, a 70-year old contemporary Japanese novelist, short-story writer and essayist from Kyoto, Japan. His fiction and non-fiction books and stories have been bestsellers in Japan and internationally. His most notable works include Norwegian Wood (named after the Beatles’ song), A Wild Sheep Chase, The Wind Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore.

Murakami is also passionate about music, and reported to say that music, like writing, is a mental journey. At one time he considered being a musician but decided to become a writer instead since he couldn’t really play any instruments. (Coincidentally, that’s why I never because a brain surgeon.)
